12 Bathrooms Where the Tile is the Star of the Show

Rent to Why settle for white walls, white tiles and a utilitarian look in your bathrooms? Big or small, this space is as sacred to us as our bedrooms. Reinvent that bathroom into one that is, in itself, a standout room!

The Portuguese azulejos in this bathroom from Attic Mag are absolutely breathtaking. If this was my bathroom, I might spend all day in there, staring at the wall.

These blue tiles are also azulejos — the pattern above is wallpaper.

Subway tile doesn't have to be staid. These beveled pink tiles take this bathroom from Home Adore to the next level.

All the other elements in this bathroom by M Plus are pleasantly understated, allowing the gorgeous encaustic tile floor to really shine.

Beautiful tiles on the tub surround enliven Ron's Parisian Style Condo in Hollywood's Historic Colonial House.

A beautiful bathroom in an L.A. restaurant, spotted on Domaine Home.

I'm really digging the combination of brass and earthy, colorful tiles. From Chic Deco.

Patterned encaustic tiles (and a blue clawfoot tub!) make this bathroom fromHomeLife anything but boring.

This wall — just gorgeous. (If you're hoping to get the look, search for terra cotta tiles in a fish scale pattern.) From Inside Out, via Happy Mundane.

These tiles create a lovely pattern in the bathroom of a home spotted on Fine & Country.

A patchwork of antique Portugese tiles adds drama to the bathroom of a Stockholm home spotted on AD España.

I saved the best and boldest for last — this riotously colorful herringbone tile (byMade a Mano), which might make this the world's happiest shower.
