Functional Cabinet
Install a wall-mounted shelf to keep baking supplies off the counter but within easy reach. Double the shelf's utility by adding hooks to hang towels, pot holders, and tools.
Pin up items to be kept out of sight, such as rubber gloves, sponges, and plastic bags, on the inside of a cabinet door. Using hot glue, affix magnets to the back of plain clothespins, and glue the other magnets directly to the door.
Romantic Hallway Bench
Just a few key elements can keep a busy hallway or entry better organized. A bench provides both a focal point and a place to slip on boots; individual cubbies offer family members a catchall for scarves and gloves. A boot tray collects shoes along with drips and mud, and a hanging pocket organizer holds mail.
TV Cabinet
When you don't have room for a separate living room and den, and you would rather stow the television out of sight when you have guests, an armoire can hide it all away. Keeping the armoire the same color as the wall makes the room feel open.
Built-in Seating
Built-in seating requires less space than chairs and provides the bonus of much-needed storage beneath.
Sliding Drawer
No room for a dedicated pantry? Cabinet manufacturers offer slide-out units that fit into standard base-cabinet openings, or gaps between cabinets.
Sink Skirt
A sink skirt and vintage cabinets add personality and provide extra storage space.
